Happiness is a handmade card

Spring bird card

I've mentioned a few times how much I like using embellishments ;-)  Here's a spring bird card that feels pretty seasonal right now - if it ever stops raining.

  • Ivory card blank
  • Two layers and a wide strip of patterned paper from First Edition Paper Silent Night premium 8x8 paper pad, edges distressed and inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The wide strip has both long edges punched with a Matha Stewart edge punch called Scallop Two Dot
  • Bird nest image from Vintage Printable, aged at the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink and edged with Pinflair Ice Diamond over white glue
  • Bird and eggs from Vintage Printable, fussy cut and covered in a thick layer of Glossy Accents, adhered with foam pads
  • Paper string from The Works
  • Paper flowers and paper leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts, stained with Antique Linen Distress Ink
  • Large leaf made from air dry clay and coloured with Lumiere by Jacques in Halo Blue Gold with veining in Metallic Rust

Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Thank you Carole! I do find that adding embellishments is very soothing - I get lost in the work! x
