Less is More week #315 - OLC Opposites

Hi LIMettes and happy Saturday! It's a new clean and simple card making challenge at Less is More, and this week we want you to make one layer cards (OLCs) featuring opposites

We're still celebrating our 6th birthday all month long, and this week we have a prize on offer from Seven Hills Crafts run by the lovely Tara who is also this month's guest designer. Seven Hills Crafts is an online retail store specialising in importing quality craft supplies from the USA. Do head over to our blog to see Tara's card and remember to leave her some comment love!

I've got three cards to share today, which all use Distress Inks. The first two are stamped images and the third card used ink applied through a stencil.

Card 1 - sunshine and clouds

Card 2 - cat and mouse

Card 3 - black and white

Thanks for stopping by this week and I'll see you again soon!

  2. What a fabulous array of delightful cards, Esther. Love how you explored different interpretation's of this week's theme. Even so, your first card is my favourite. Love how vibrant this card is. It will surely brighten the recipient's day.

  3. Well, this theme really suited you Esther, with your trio of terrific-ness (is that a word? haha). Fabulous fading background on the first card and that black and yellow combo works so well together. The second card is adorable and cute - such a sweet image and your final one (think we were on the same b&w theme vibe) is dramatic, elegant and classy. Love them all. xx

  5. They are beautiful as usual but what struck me this week was your never-exhausted ability to match sentiment to design. They are just right!

  9. You completely nailed this challenge, Esther. Your masked blending on the first one is so crisp, and loving the gentle blended background on your second and the drama of your third. All so different yet wonderfully CAS. Hope you're having a good week x

    1. I think you're the first person who's spotted that! Yes, deliberately chosen both for the beautiful colour and the symbolism/properties. Thanks for the lovely comment :)

The first is so happy! Love how clouds look on yellow. I'd never thought of using this color for the sky.

The secibg is extremely cute. And the third is classy and elegant!
