Less is More week 321 - Use a Frame

Hi LIMettes, we've got a fun clean and simple card making challenge for you this week over at Less is More! This time we want you to use a frame on your card.

There are so many possibilities for this - die cut, stamped, doodled, created from small stamps, using washi tape if you're still feeling inspired from last week's challenge, masking the space for a frame and decorating around it, and so many more options... what will you do for your card?

I decided to use a negative die cut frame on my card with My Favorite Things Stitched Circle STAX Dienamics, and created a scene using My Favorite Things Make Yourself at Home. The images were coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted A Little Sentimental and heat embossed in white. It's a shame that the photo has bleached out some of the colour from the pinks, but this was photographed in mid-February and the light is not kind!

Now I just need one of my friends to move house LOL.

Remember to check the blog for more DT inspiration, and thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love the scene you created with these cute die cut MFT stamps. Wonderful coloring too and the blue card base was a fantastic idea -it makes the scene pop so much more than a white base would have done. Thank you so much for having me as GD at LIM!

  2. You have been so clever again this week Esther - not only do we have the negative window frame but your scene has 2 picture frames in it too! I've been waiting to see which stamp set you used because it is brilliant for house move cards. This card is full of your outstanding flair and natural talent. Love it. xx

  5. Brilliant - also curious to know if you put the shadow there with Promarkers or the photo did when you shot the card. Either way, the shadow gives it real 3D and it looks even more framed!

    1. Thanks! The top layer is lifted on foam tape, so it casts its own shadow :)
